
Robert Sims
Executive Director
Dr. Robert Sims serves as the Executive Director of Central and Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA). In this role he coordinates professional development opportunities for educators in the region and provides leadership for CEESA’s Annual Conference. He also provides support for cultural awareness, student activities and athletic programs across countries in the CEESA Region.
Rob brings over three decades of international educational leadership experience from four continents. A Canadian national, Rob has dedicated his career to fostering thriving school communities.
Before joining CEESA, Rob served as the Director of Bonn International School and previously as the Director of the International School of Kraków. His extensive background as a teacher, principal, and director, along with his personal experience as a father of two Third Culture Kids, deeply informs his understanding of international education.
Rob is known for his collaborative and empowering leadership style, marked by transparency and a deep commitment to shared missions and core values. He champions innovative teaching practices and works to create dynamic, equitable learning environments where every student can succeed. His vision is to cultivate a lasting positive impact on students, educators, and the broader school community, empowering them to reach their full potential.
